About Beta Gamma Sigma

Beta Gamma Sigma is the premier honor society for graduate and undergraduate students at business schools accredited by the AACSB. It is an honor society, intended to recognize academic excellence, not a fraternity or sorority or social club. There are over 450 collegiate chapters around the world, most of them in North America, as well as alumni chapters in many cities (including Washington, DC).

The organization promotes ethical business leadership and in particular its core values of honor, wisdom, and earnestness in professional and personal dealings.

For more information about Beta Gamma Sigma, visit the international organization's website.

George Mason University collegiate chapter

Our chapter inducts 125-150 students each year. We hold our main induction ceremony each year in late April or early May.

We are rated as an Exemplary Chapter by BGS's international headquarters. This entitles us to offer a Beta Gamma Sigma scholarship each year, with 50% of the funds coming from BGS National Headquarters.

Faculty advisors are Dr. Melissa Martin (chapter president), Dr. Alison O'Brien, and Dr. James Harvey. Several other faculty members also belong to Beta Gamma Sigma.
