Campus Girl Scouts is a branch of the Girl Scout Movement established to provide service to Girl Scout councils and to girls. Campus Girl Scouts has been in existence in one form or another since the 1920's. Today there are over thirteen hundred young adults volunteering their time and talents to serving girls in Campus Girl Scout groups.
Campus Girl Scouts at George Mason University was begun in 1990 by a group of women from Girl Scout Council of the Nation's Capital. The group participated in many leadership activities. Unfortunately, as members graduated from GMU the group dwindled and finally ceased to exist.
We began anew in September 1997 and are growing stronger every day. Thanks to Internet access we have made contact with CGS groups on other college campuses around the nation and similar groups in Scouting and Guiding around the world.
