PLEDGE
To qualify as a candidate to become a member of Delta Sigma Pi, you must receive an invitation to join from a local chapter, complete an orientation program, and demonstrate a willingness to perpetuate the ideals of the Fraternity. Members may be men and women of all creeds and colors engaged in the study of business or related fields. Cross-membership in Greek social fraternities and sororities is permitted, though such members are expected to display the same commitment to the Fraternity as their fellow Brothers.
The pledging process is a rigorous process held every semester to initiate new members into the Fraternity. It's primary purpose is to educate those wishing to become Brothers of the Fraternity on the true meaning of being a Deltasig. It is traditionally 8-10 weeks long, beginning immediately following recruitment and culminating at the end of the process with the Initiation of our new members.
Those students participating in this process are known as pledges and may only become one through invitation of the Chapter following recruitment. Throughout this time period, pledges are asked to complete a program of tasks, oriented on education and creating goodwill for the Chapter and Fraternity. During the process, pledges are under the guidance of the Vice President Pledge Education. Following strict guidelines of the Fraternity, hazing of pledges is forbidden and is in no way the practice of the Mu Tau Chapter.
If you want more information on how to join, please send your questions to our Senior Vice President, Stephanie Lin at slin112692@gmail.com or (434) 229-7743.
