The FMA GMU Chapter, initiated in 2003, is always committed on providing its members with the most exclusive opportunities that each student would benefit from. The GMU FMA participates in many programs of events and activities:

•Career and Job Fairs
The GMU FMA, with a new vision, new and greater goals, new events, and a greater drive to success, this Fall is going to leave a lasting impression. This Fall's newly elected Cabinet has the passion to bring FMA to the stage it so very much deserves. Members this semester are going to experience informative speakers, many fundraising events, great Career fairs, a newly created investment competition, and first time introducing Finance tutoring services.

The FMA, is always welcoming new members and this semester's officers are especially committed in providing prospective members with the ease of eventually becoming an active member of the Financial Management Association. We have provided forms that can you can view and complete at home. We ask that you print them out, arrange a meeting with our VP of Networking, and bring your appropriate member dues.

The FMA National Honor Society recognizes scholastic achievement through induction of students who have demonstrated superior scholarship. Individuals accepted for membership in the Honor Society have the distinction of belonging to the ONLY international honorary which specifically recognizes the achievement of finance majors and demonstrates their expertise in areas such as financial economics and decision making.
The FMA National Honor Society is the only NHS specifically for finance students. It was founded in 1974 by FMA International, a professional association of academics and practitioners dedicated to the development of financial theory and sound financial practices.
The FMA NHS provides a way to recognize the best finance students for their academic achievements. By induction into the FMA NHS, students have a means of demonstrating their academic excellence to potential employers. This honor helps set them apart from other students when pursuing their career. Through the FMA NHS, students who meet the requirements for membership are recognized for their academic
achievement with:
• A personalized FMA NHS certificate/scroll
• FMA National Honor Society Lapel Pin
• Recognition on FMA’s website

Eligibility Requirements
Undergraduate:     • 3.25 Major GPA.
AND
    • Successful completion of three (3)        courses of finance above FNAN 301.
    • Junior or senior class standing.
Graduate (MBA):
    • 3.50 Overall GPA
          OR
    • 3.50 GPA in finance and/or finance        related coursework
AND
    • Successful completion of one half of        required coursework
