Organization name:
Graduate International Student Association (GISA)
Purpose:
Based in Arlington Campus, GISA will benefit students living and studying in Arlington Campus in areas of politics, business, entrepreneurships and laws. By creating a diverse, professional and socially-connected organization, GISA aims to enhance graduate students’ professional practice, strengthen their international perspectives and increase students’ interaction with society.
Membership
GMU graduate students and alumni interested in international affairs, interacting with students from different cultural backgrounds and enhancing academic and professional ability can join in our organization.

Officer duties
President: The president shall oversee and organize all GISA activities, oversee GISA's funding and chair the meetings among officers and members.
Vice President: The vice president shall organize and oversee GISA activities in the absence of the president.
Treasurer: The treasurer shall take charge of the funding of the organization.
Secretary: The secretary shall assist in organizing GISA current activities
Social Chair: The social chair shall take charge of the liaison with school organizations and connection with other parties that interact with the organization.
Webmaster: The webmaster shall maintain the GISA website on the GMU servers.
Meetings
Meetings shall be held among officers and members, or include both officers and the majority of the members. The organization shall meet at least twice a month at a time decided upon by the majority vote of the officers at the beginning of the semester.
There shall be least 4 officers and 5 members present to conduct any official business including voting.
