Brown Bag Events

The GPSS intends to host at least one brown bag event per semester where faculty and/or students can discuss their current research with their peers.

Reading Groups

Want to join a reading group? E-mail us

As a member of a reading group, you will be expected to summarize 1 book / 1-2 articles per week from the reading lists. Summaries will then be distributed to the group. Reading groups are primarily targeted to Ph.D. students but Masters students are also welcome to participate. These groups require a significant time commitment from the student.

Working Groups

Want to join a working group? E-mail us

A working group is one where students meet to discuss their own work and that of their peers in a small group setting of 4 to 5 people. Students offer constructive criticism of each others' work.
