More info will be posted soon!

NEWS - 5/16/06
The Student Chapter was proud to be a Student Organization awarded a bench on the main walk outside SUBI. Today with the help of lots of members, the painting was completed!

NEWS-4/25/06
Lots of news this update-time to start wrapping things up for this year. Over the summer I will continue to work on updating the look and content of the website. I welcome any suggestions and assistance from those of you who may know more about web design than I do. feel free to email me with suggestions as well as any photos you may have taken during any of our events.

First I want to congratulate everyone who participated in the national conference this year. I especially want to thank Ashley and Anna for their hard work preparing the student roundtable. It was a great success and very well received. We got compliments on our stylish banner (thanks Tisha!) as well as on our presentation and presence at the conference. Hopefully there will be pictures posted. I will be changing our Programs & Events page to include images-look for the changes in the next week or two.(Depending on finals!)

Next I want to congratulate everyone who participated in the Art Supervisor Roundtable, which was a great success. Everyone in attendance seemed excited to have access to the supervisors from our surrounding counties, and we established a great connection with students from JMU. We received congratulations many participants and many people are looking forward to similar events in the future.

At our last meeting new board members were nominated for the upcoming academic year- the names of our new board members can be found at the Officers page.

An end of the year potluck will be held at Renee's house in Maryland May 13th from 4pm until 7pm. Please let us know what sort of dish you are interested in bringing. I hope all members of the chapter will be there to celebrate or success this year.

Finally, I want to remind everyone that we were awarded a bench in front of SUB I this year. We could still use members to attend the bench painting party this Friday, April 28th from 1pm until 4pm in the afternoon. We need members to be there to paint the bench base coat. If you think you are available to attend the bench painting party, please email Marisa.

NEWS-1/27/06

For anyone who missed the kick-off meeting, I have posted the minutes and upcoming meeting dates on the Meeting page. Our next meeitng is currently scheduled for Wednesday, February 1 at 12:20pm. Hope to see everyone there.
