The National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS) was chartered at The George Washington University in Washington, DC on April 30, 1994 with 120 new members.

NSCS was established on the principle that with scholarship comes a responsibility to obtain leadership and a duty to perform service

To this end, the Society:

  • Recognizes and celebrates high achievement among first and second year college students in all academic disciplines.
  • Encourages and promotes high standards throughout the collegiate experience.
  • Provides opportunities for personal growth and leadership development.
  • Organizes and encourages learning opportunities through community service.
  • Fosters an overall appreciation for the value of higher education.

The Chairman of the NSCS Board of Directors wrote in the 2001-2003 annual report "By the end of the 2001-2002 school year, we grew to be 172 Chapters strong! We also continue to partner with incredible organizations that provide benefits and opportunities for our members." Which proves how big this society is.

For the first time ever, we are also offering the *****  New Point System  ***********   New Point System  *****   For each hour you spend with your NSCS chapter you earn points that lead towards many rewards!! So Please come out and join us!
