Green Acres Elementary Mentor Program All interested GMU students are invited to make a difference in the life of an at-risk student at Green Acres Elementary School by becoming a "big brother" or "big sister". This is not a tutoring program; as a mentor you and your student just have to have fun! These students need someone they can talk to who really listens, someone to have fun with who believes in them, and someone as a role model who supports them. Green Acres Elementary is located within walking distance from Mason. GMU students must be willing to visit their Green Acres student at least once a week during lunch and recess time, or after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If you are interested but can not commit to a weekly visit, please call and we will make arrangements for you to get involved. Prospective mentors should call Kay Wagner 273-5389 at Green Acres to arrange for an orientation session.
