GMU's Big Bad Weekend of Ultimate |
|
|
Teams: GMU, UMBC, Loyola, Warren Wilson, JMU-B, Salisbury, American, Georgetown, Shippensburg, and Mary Washington.
SATURDAY
Pool play games will be to 13. Captain's Meeting is at 8:30 am. Games will start at 9:00 am and then every 90 minutes after that, for a total of 5 rounds. The soft cap for each round will go on 60 minutes after the start of each round. For the soft cap, finish the current point and then add 2 to the higher score and play until one team has that score (or has 13 or more and is winning by at least 2). Any remaining timeouts are still available. The hard cap will go on after 75 minutes after the start of each round. For the hard cap, finish the current point; if one team has a higher score, they win, and if the score is tied, then play one more point, whoever scores wins. Each team will get one time-out per half and a floating time-out. NO TIME OUTS ARE ALLOWED AFTER THE HARD CAP GOES ON.
SUNDAY
Pool placement will be decided first by overall record, then by head-to-head matchup, and finally by point differential. The top 2 finishers from each pool will automatically make the championship bracket. The top 6 teams will be re-seeded for the championship bracket on Sunday. All other teams will also be re-seeded and have placement games.
Brackets and times can be found by clicking My Site or On UPA's

DIRECTIONS these will get you to GMU....once you have found your way to the Field House (which is located on University Dr.) go past it (it should be on your left) and continue past the Baseball Field, you will say a turn to the left with an open green and yellow gate. Go through it. The captain's meeting will be on the very first field to your left.

There will be Pizza on Saturday after the final games.
