The VBA Pro Bono Society is dedicated to promoting public service among the students and faculty of George Mason University.
We aim to provide an arena where students can begin to explore the ABA-recognized responsibility to provide legal services for those unable to afford them.
We believe that by giving back to our community, we uplift both the law and the legal profession and help to create a better future for ourselves and those that follow.
The VBA seeks to provide George Mason Law students the opportunity for leadership, networking, employment, community service, and to promote the Virginia Bar Association's core missions to serve the public and local bar and to be involved in state legislation.
The core missions will allow students to better understand different areas of law, directly ask questions of practicing legal professionals, discover the nuances of various practice areas within Virginia, make more informed choices on their ultimate practice area, and increase their access to employment opportunities in the legal profession. We look forward to an exciting year of membership with important speakers and great events.
