Contained in the report is a description of the unique culture of George Mason, the commitments the university will make, the qualities in programs it will insist on, and the mechanisms for accountability it will enforce. Highlighting the report are 13 measures for immediate action.
The work of a special faculty task force appointed by President Alan Merten and led by Vice Provost Joseph Wood, Engaging the Future parallels ongoing review and restructuring of the university's academic and administrative units.
