(1) Denning announced that Vice Provost for Information

SRP vacancies. The membership is now:

(2) We reviewed the latest draft of the RUC policy revision as submitted by the Legal Affairs Office. These are the next actions to be taken: Denning will submit two minor comments on wording clarification. Document to be converted to HTML format including links. Document to be posted on SRP web page for comment; SRP intro will say simply that SRP has approved the revisions and now seeks comment from GMU community; comment period is 3 weeks after posting. Announcement of RFC posted to gmu.local and other BBs. SRP will analyze comments and make its recommendations known to Legal Affairs Office. Final version of new RUC to be signed by Provost and Senior Vice President by Aug 15. (3) We recalled Mike Shinn's request to retire from the SRP. Dorsey offered to take over the job of webmaster from Mike. [She subsequently reconsidered, due to changes in work commitments, and Anne Marchant agreed to take this responsibility.] (4) We recalled an open item from the last SRP meeting, a letter recommending use of privacy-enhanced email for university official business. This letter will be submitted to the new Vice President for Information Services and Technology after she takes office in early July. (5) We will hold one or two town meetings in the fall.
