Brandon Fallon

Brandon Fallon is currently completing his Master of Science in Systems Engineering from George Mason University. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from VA Tech in 1995 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Psychology. As an undergraduate, he participated in the National Science Foundation Summer Research Program where he studied under Dr. Norman Eiss Jr. He presented his work at the ASM/TMS National Conference: 10/19/93, Pittsburgh, PA. Their findings were published in the conference proceedings: Fallon, B. D. and Eiss, N. S., Jr. "Tribological Evaluation of Carbon Fiber Reinforced PEEK and PEI at Elevated Temperatures." In 1994, he was awarded the Goldwater Scholarship for Excellence in Science, Math, and Engineering. He is also a patent coauthor: Bush, Ralph; Fallon, Brandon; and McKeon, James. "Ultrasonic test chamber for tray production system and the like." U.S. Patent No. 7,181,969 (issued Feb 27, 2007). Early in his career, Brandon worked for Electro-Tec where he designed a subsystem for the Comanche attack helicopter's night-vision pilotage system (NVPS) and the active threat infrared countermeasure system (ATIRCM) which protects aircraft from heat seeking missile attack. Brandon also increased the strength and toughness of the M1A1 turret slip ring through the addition of fiber reinforcement to the epoxy matrix. Later in his career, Brandon designed and built ultrasonic inspection systems used in the semiconductor industry and custom applications such as a radiation hardened system for the DOE Hanford Site used to inspect radioactive cesium capsules. More recently, Brandon has worked as a contractor for Military Health Systems and Defense Agencies Initiatives. Through the grace of God, Brandon has been married for 20 years to his beloved Aggy and they have 2 wonderful boys: Joshua and Caleb. Most importantly, Brandon is a disciple of Jesus Christ, through whom all things are possible.
