Service-Learning partners are organizations that have indicated that they would like to host George Mason University service-learning students. Students are responsible for contacting individual organizations for application materials and an interview to determine whether your skills and objectives match their needs. Be sure to ask about hours, length of service, requirements, orientation/training, confidentiality, and security. Consult the service-learning student handbook, also available on our webpage, for tips on finding a community service placement.
George Mason University and the Center for Leadership & Community Engagement offers the Service-Learning Partners list solely as a public service to the members of the university community. The University and the Center for Leadership & Community Engagement makes NO REPRESENTATION OR RECOMMENDATION REGARDING THE ORGANIZATIONS LISTED. Unless expressly noted, the organizations listed are fully independent of the university. Further, George Mason University and the Center for Leadership & Community Engagement ASSUME NO RESPONSIBILITY OR LIABILITY for personal or property injuries resulting to the student, or for damages caused by the student, resulting from the student's participation in the activities of these organizations outside of professional duties assigned by the organization. Students are responsible for providing their own health insurance. Students are responsible to check with the organization to find out if it provides any insurance or liability coverage for its volunteers.
