Deirdre Moloney is Director of the Fellowships and Undergraduate Apprenticeship Program. She at been at Mason since 2005. She obtained her Ph.D. in U.S. history at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She was a faculty member at St. Francis University in Pennsylvania prior to arriving at Mason. She has published a book American Catholic Lay Groups and Transatlantic Social Reform in the Progressive Era, and several articles, including those in Journal of Women's History and Journal of American Ethnic History. She was awarded a fellowship at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars [Link: Wilsoncenter.org] in Washington to complete her second book, a history of U.S. deportation policy since 1882. Her study abroad experience in Kenya has helped her to advise students on the Fulbright and other international fellowships.
