e-CHUG:

“The Electronic Check-up To Go” is an online alcohol screening assessment that allows you to take a confidential look at your alcohol use and how it compares to other college students… individualized feedback includes useful and sometimes surprising information. AND completing the assessment provides you a chance to win BIG! (see below for more details)

Answer a few short questions… Learn how your alcohol use affects you!

  • Information entered is confidential
  • No specific identifying information is required
  • It only takes about 10 minutes to complete the survey
  • Information entered is not connected to your email or to your name
  • Demographic information is entered in order to compare you to national statistics.
  • Your participation in e-CHUG is voluntary
  • You may withdraw from participating at any time.
  • Only you can look at data you entered by utilizing the individual number provided only to you.

NOTE: e-CHUG will ask you to enter information about your average alcohol consumption. It does not ask specific information about the contents of “Jungle Juice”. If you drink Jungle Juice on a regular basis, count one 16 ounce cup as 2 shots of hard liquor.

e-CHUG is also a simple way for individuals to find out—in just a few minutes—if a professional consultation might be helpful. If, after completing the screening, you would like an individual consultation regarding your results or your concerns, Call Drug and Alcohol Information at (703) 993-3687 to schedule an appointment.
