When Mason freshman Andres Chovil came to campus this summer for orientation, the first thing he did was let his professors know he had to miss a few classes—so he could attend the Democratic National Convention in Denver. And that won’t be the last convention for this aspiring politician. The youngest delegate from Alaska, Chovil plans to study law and pursue a career in politics with a focus on Latin American issues.
