“I just want people to remember.”

When Mason graduate Jim Laychak lost his brother, David, in the September 11 attack on the Pentagon, he pledged to make something positive from the catastrophic loss. Drawing on skills he developed from business and his experience at Mason, Laychak worked tirelessly over the past four years, raising millions to make the Pentagon Memorial a reality. The Memorial serves to commemorate the 184 crew members, passengers, military personnel, and Pentagon employees who died that September morning.
