A Woman at the Forefront

Inspired by the stories of women in conflict-ridden countries, Mason graduate Roshini Thinakaran created Women at the Forefront, a film project that looks at war and conflict through women’s eyes. Her goal is to shine a spotlight on women who are persevering and making a difference despite the hostile environments in which they live, such as Lebanon, Liberia, and Sri Lanka. She is currently filming in Iraq.
