Flex and Ultimate meal plans coincide with the class schedule and are prorated when classes are not in session. Two or more meals can be accessed at one time; unused meals do not roll over into the following week/semester.

Bonus funds are available with both Flex and Ultimate plans. These funds are included in the semester price and can be used for purchases less than or greater than the equivalency rates. In addition, bonus funds are welcome in the JC Express Convenience Store and the One Stop Patriot Shop. Unused funds do not roll over into the following semester.

    Freedom Meal Plans

Freedom plans offer dollar for dollar purchasing power. In addition to being accepted everywhere flex plans are welcome, Freedom funds can be used in JC Express Convenience Store and the One Stop Patriot Shop.

    Freedom funds are available:

    • Approximately two weeks prior to the beginning of classes
    • During class breaks while the university is open
    • After final exams ending on commencement day in spring semester

Setting a weekly budget and periodically reviewing the remaining balance is highly recommended. This prevents running out of funds early or having excessive funds remaining at the semester end. Unused funds do not roll over to the following semester.

    Perfect Meal Plan for you...

In determining which meal plan is a perfect fit, here are some guidelines to take into consideration:

    • Accounting for spring break and holidays, semesters are approximately 16 weeks. Excellent budget tool for the Flex 150/230 and Freedom plans.
    • Prefer to eat smaller portions several times a day - consider one of the Ultimate or Freedom plans.
    • Prefer eating two or three square meals each day - consider one of the Flex or Ultimate plans.
    • Required to be on campus while classes are not in session ( i.e., athletes, student employees...) - consider the Freedom plan which is available prior to beginning of classes.
    • Weekends - staying on campus more often than not - consider the 10 or 150 Flex.
    • Class schedule is also a consideration.
