Check Cashing:
• At the Mason branch, Chevy Chase Bank will cash personal one-party
US checks drawn on banks based in the Continental US in the amount of
$100 or less, at no charge, for the University community. Transactions
may be limited to no more than $150 per week for all non-customers.
• Chevy Chase Bank will cash checks issued by US Government, Commonwealth
of Virginia, and George Mason University in the amount of $1,500 or less,
at no charge. Foreign Checks are accepted for collection for those customers
who have relationships with Chevy Chase Bank.
Cashier’s Checks:
• Offered and provide alternatives to purchasing money orders or
certified checks (which are not offered at Chevy Chase Bank).
