About the University
With three locations in the Washington, D.C., area, Mason has emerged in the last decade as a major university in the nation. Our innovative programs and visionary outlook have attracted a faculty of renowned scholars and teachers.
George Mason, the Man
George Mason, for whom our university is named, was one of the greatest
of the founding fathers of the United States, yet he is among
the least known.
Find out more about George Mason or visit the patriot's home, Gunston Hall, which is a short distance from the Fairfax Campus, and is adjacent to Mount Vernon, home of George Washington.
Leadership
Campus life is facilitated by competent leaders from the Virginia community. These individuals maintain a creative vision for the future of education. For more information, go to the following web sites.
