Mason Korea 10th Anniversary

In March 2014, Mason Korea opened its doors to its first students. This year, Mason Korea celebrates its 10th anniversary with events both in Korea and on the Fairfax Campus.

From their initial offering of two undergraduate programs and 34 students, Mason Korea has grown remarkably over the past decade. Today, the campus offers six undergraduate and two graduate disciplines, and is home to over 900 students. These degree programs afford students the unique opportunity to spend three years at Mason Korea in Songdo and one year in the United States.

In addition, any George Mason University student in good academic standing may study at Mason's campus in Korea, which provides George Mason students with a transformative international experience combined with the convenience of remaining within the Mason curriculum and system.

Building on the successes with Mason Korea, Mason has revamped global engagement and emphasis on global learning to advance the university’s international education efforts. Read more from the Office of the Provost.

On March 5, 2024, over 200 Mason Korea students, faculty, and staff celebrated the campus' tenth birthday in a celebration held at the Global Lounge. Watch the recap video of the event below or read more about the event.
