BINF 402 - Bioinformatics and Computational Biology II

Credits: 3 (NR)
The course is a continuation of BINF401 and studies in-depth several algorithms and methods used in bioinformatics and computational biology. Students will learn sequence alignment and assembly algorithms, hidden Markov models, classification and prediction methods, genome annotation. These techniques will then be applied to current bioinformatics problems. Programming assignments are incorporated in the course program.

Prerequisite(s): BINF 401.
