CONS 410 - Human Dimensions in Conservation

Credits: 3 (NR)


Provides sociological, local and global perspectives on conservation issues including adaptive management, conflict resolution, environmental economics, sustainability, public policy, environmental values and public opinion, and conservation ethics.

Designated a Green Leaf Course .

Fulfills general education requirement in social and behavioral science.

Prerequisite(s): 60 credits and college level coursework in the biological or environmental sciences.

Notes: Must be taken concurrently with CONS 320, CONS 401, CONS 402, and CONS 490. Only offered through the Smithsonian-Mason Semester.
