SOCW 351 - Social Policy and Social Justice

Credits: 3 (NR)
Introduces students to the knowledge and skills needed to frame and analyze social problems and social policies in the context of social justice. Examines the historical development, central concepts, and institutional nature of the contemporary welfare state and major social policies that have emerged in response to changing social, political, economic, and cultural influences.

Prerequisite(s): SOCI 200 and SOCI 101; or permission of the instructor.
