THR 412 - Performance on Screen

Credits: 3 (NR)
An examination of acting theories and practices associated with screen performances. Topics include evolution of acting theories and practices adapted from stage for screen, methods of analyzing screen performance, and understanding performance style and genre. Students will develop a more sophisticated appreciation for screen performance and be encouraged to demonstrate their understanding in oral, written, and performance presentations.

Fulfills general education requirement in Arts.

Prerequisite(s): Sophomore standing (30 credit hours completed).
