Environmental Science Minor

A minor in environmental science aids the development of an increased awareness of the major environmental issues effecting the natural world and society. The minor is intended to compliment a major in natural science but could also be taken by non-science majors.

This minor cannot be taken in conjunction with the Earth Science, BS  concentration in environmental geoscience, the Global and Environmental Change, BS , the Environmental Science, BS  or the Environmental and Sustainability Studies, BA .

At least eight credits of courses taken for the minor must be exclusive to the minor and not count toward the student’s major.  For policies governing all minors, see the Undergraduate Policies  section of this catalog.

This program of study is offered by the Department of Environmental Science and Policy in the College of Science .

Course Work

EVPP or BIOL sequence (8-12 credits)

 Choose one sequence, either

Applied ecology course (3 credits)

Electives (8 credits)

Students must complete a minimum of 8 credits of EVPP electives, of which 4 credits must be upper level courses.

Total: 19-23 credits
