Students with Disabilities who Access the Adapted Curriculum Graduate Certificate

This 36-credit hour certificate offers required course work for Virginia teacher licensure in Special Education: Adapted Curriculum.  Students who have completed graduate or undergraduate coursework prior to admission to this graduate certificate program may request that courses in this program be waived based on prior coursework. Students who are eligible to waive coursework must complete a minimum of 15 credits to graduate with the Students with Disabilities who Access the Adapted Curriculum Graduate Certificate.

The Students with Disabilities who Access the Adapted Curriculum Graduate Certificate program may be pursued on a part-time or full-time basis.

Exit Requirement


Students enrolled in the Students with Disabilities who Access the Adapted Curriculum Graduate Certificate must demonstrate evidence of either: a) passing the Praxis II Elementary Education Content Knowledge Exam, or b) successful completion of an approved Praxis II Elementary Preparation course.
