SOCI 802 - Proseminar in Public and Applied Sociology II

The second in a two-semester sequence that provides students with an introduction to the theories, methods, and practice of public and applied sociology as they are relevant to issues of societal and community importance. Builds on the historical and contextual understandings of the first semester by examining contemporary issues and challenges such as university and community relationships, activism and research, ethical dilemmas of engaged research, and methodological debates.
