SOCW 370 - Social Policy Analysis and Advocacy

Credits: 3 (NR)
Introduces students to the knowledge and skills needed to influence social policy outcomes and advocate for social change. Explores the role of social workers in legislative policy analysis and advocacy. Students gain skills in policy practice, legislative research, developing and presenting recommendations, and testifying.

Equivalent to SOCW 352 (2010-2011 Catalog)

Prerequisite(s): SOCW 200 and GOVT 103 or 132, or permission of instructor.

Notes: Students may not take SOCW 370 if they have already received credit for SOCW 352.
