Clinical Trials Management Graduate Certificate

Unit: Rehabilitation Science 

This certificate prepares students to function in multiple leadership roles in the development, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of clinical trials. Courses address research design, statistical methods, and protocol design as well as the ethical and regulatory requirements for conducting clinical trials, including human subject protection. The certificate is well-suited to the needs of health care professionals and individuals currently working in clinical research environments who seek career development and enhancement in clinical trials coordination and management.

Admission Requirements

Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 3.00. Preference will be given to those who are currently enrolled in a graduate degree program, have a master’s degree, or have at least one year of experience in a health care or research-related role or entity. No prior experience in clinical trials is needed. Applicants must meet the admission standards and application requirements specified in the Admission  chapter of the catalog and must apply using the online Application for Graduate Admission. The application process is competitive, and applications are considered for the fall and spring semesters. The graduate certificate in clinical trials management may be pursued only on a part-time basis.

Certificate Requirements


Completion of the certificate requires 15 graduate credits. Students must complete all courses with a minimum GPA of 3.00, with no more than 3 credits with a grade of C to earn the certificate.
