PHIL 312 - Philosophy of Technology

Credits: 3 (NR)
Philosophical examination of modern technology in its broadest human context. Several alternative philosophies of technology are considered. Examines the relationships between technology and religion, economics, and politics. Ethical issues raised by the use of technology are also examined. Typically, the course focuses on the ethical issues raised by the use of one kind of technology.

Prerequisite(s): 3 credits of philosophy, or permission of instructor.
