SYST 505 - Introduction to Systems Engineering

Credits: 3 (NR)
Introduction to systems engineering with a focus on information technology systems. Emphasize development of analytical, technical, management, and teamwork skills through exercises in planning, documentation, presentation, and the creative process of IT engineering design. Use SysML as the language for analyzing and describing case studies in systems engineering. This course cannot be counted toward the MSSE degree or the PhD IT degree.

Notes: This course was taught to students in the MS/AIT program in Spring 2009 as SYST 659 Topics in Systems Engineering. The course will become part of the MS/AIT curriculum.
