To officially decline your offer of admission, please follow the steps outlined below based on your student status:
ADVANCE Program Students
Students must include their name and G Number in their withdrawal request email.
If you are an ADVANCE student at Northern Virginia Community College, please send your withdrawal request via email to ADVANCE@nvcc.edu.
If you are an ADVANCE student at one of the partner institutions listed below, please send your withdrawal request via email to advmvp@gmu.edu.

Freshman, Transfer, and Non-Degree Students
You can submit your withdrawal request through your application decision portal.
Requesting to withdraw your admission means you are formally declining your admission to George Mason University. If you decide to apply again in the future, a new application will be required.
Important Notes:

If you have registered for courses, please ensure you drop them to avoid any charges. To receive a full (100%) tuition refund, you must drop your courses by the deadlines listed in the registrar’s semester calendar.

If courses are not dropped properly, you may incur charges and George Mason will not waive these fees or issue refunds.
