George Mason University unveils a new logo symbolizing an era of excellence and accessibility of a Modern University that is All Together Different.

George Mason University unveiled a completely redesigned logo as the capstone of its three-year-long comprehensive rebrand. The new look, which will include a single logo for the university and its athletics program, asserts George Mason’s emerging identity as a national top 50 public university and Virginia’s top-ranked university for innovation and upward mobility, as well as the commonwealth’s largest, most innovative, and most diverse university.

As part of a federal priority to address health care workforce shortages, Mason’s Center for Health Workforce has received $921,000 in federal funding from the Health Services Research Administration (HRSA) to serve as a catalyst and facilitator for regional health workforce planning and development.

Interim Provost Kenneth Walsh has appointed Cody W. Edwards as the interim dean of the College of Science, effective July 1.

In November 2023, Mason students, faculty, and staff gathered to help transplant 1,700 plants of more than 50 native species into two groves near the stream behind Student Union Building I between Aquia Creek Lane and Patriot Circle.
