November 1, 2022Last spring, Maestro Peter Wilson picked up the baton, becoming the new artistic director and conductor of the American Festival Pops Orchestra (AFPO), effective the 2022-2023 season. No stranger to AFPO, Maestro Wilson was the orchestra’s longtime concertmaster and principal violinist. While Wilson has some pretty big shoes to fill, but we’re excited to see his official debut with Holiday Pops: Songs of the Season.
May 4, 2022The Hylton Performing Arts Center hosted a special two-day celebration with the 12th Anniversary Gala on April 29 and 30. The first Anniversary Gala held in-person since 2019, the event welcomed more than 1,000 guests and supported the Hylton Center’s mission of presenting diverse performances and programs of high quality and artistic excellence to inspire, educate, and enrich the community.
