Xavier's Mason Story
Xavier chose Mason for its diversity of programs and people, which lets him push the boundaries of his studies alongside students who look like him. As a PhD candidate in the Department of Communication, Xavier researches how organizations can transform systems and structures to better support diversity, and he puts these lessons into practice through his teaching and volunteer work with the LGBTQ+ Resources Center. He says Mason’s student-first culture gave him the space to show himself fully, and that this helped other students do the same.
