The Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival is now accepting applications for one seasonal staff position. Successful candidates will be integral members of the Festival staff for its 49th Season in July and August 2022.

The Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival is an internationally acclaimed six-week summer festival of over 42 chamber music concerts and youth concerts performed by world-class musicians. Under the leadership of Artistic Director Marc Neikrug, the Festival gathers artists from around the world to perform in Santa Fe. The over 80 participating artists for the 49th Season will include Kirill Gerstein, Benjamin Hochman, Gilles Vonsattel, Haochen Zhang, the Beijing Guitar Duo, Susanna Phillips, Fleur Barron, Tony Arnold, James Gaffigan, Paul Huang, Leila Josefowicz, Ida Kavafian, John Storgårds, Che-Yen Chen, Paul Neubauer, Eric Kim, Paul Watkins, Peter Wiley, Leigh Mesh, Tara Helen O’Connor, Carol McGonnell, Christopher Millard, Jennifer Montone, the Chien-Kim-Watkins Trio, the Dover, FLUX, Miami and Escher String Quartets, and others. Artistic Administration Intern

The Artistic Administration Intern participates in all artist services for the six-week summer season. Primary duties include maintaining the Artistic Director’s calendar, welcoming and orienting artists, coordinating airport ground transportation, preparing and distributing artist information materials, and assisting with music preparation.

A successful applicant will have a classical music background; a valid driver's license; good communication, people, organizational, and computer skills; a positive attitude; the ability to work calmly in fast-paced environment; and be 21 years old by July 11, 2022. Enrollment in Arts Administration program and prior experience working with artists are both a plus.  

Term of employment: June 30 – August 24, 2022.  Hours will vary, $15.00 per hour, housing in Santa Fe is provided.

Development & Special Events Intern

The Development and Special Events intern position supports the Development Department in its varied projects, activities, and special events, and reports directly to the Director of Development. Responsibilities are varied and include working with the Development Team on the Festival’s Annual Summer Gala, several donor stewardship and cultivation events, and the Festival’s Closing Night Party; assisting the department with donor mailings and meeting preparation; maintaining donor files and other development materials; assisting with donor benefit fulfillment; and helping with social media as needed, along with other special projects.

A successful applicant will have good interpersonal skills and attention to detail; desire to learn more about development and special events planning; ability to remain composed in fast-paced situations; strong writing proof reading and spelling skills; knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; experience with relational databases is strongly preferred. Must have personal vehicle.

Term of employment: June 6 or 13 – August 23, 2022.  40 hours/week (Monday through Friday from 9:00 am—5:00 pm, although hours will vary during weeks when special events are taking place in the evening or on the weekend). Stipend $15.00 per hour; housing in Santa Fe is provided.
