Retro Mason: World Congress on Information Technology 1998

George Mason University was the first university to host the World Congress on Information Technology in June 21-24, 1998. The event, organized with sponsor World Information Technology and Services Alliance, drew top industry leaders from more than 23 countries. Former Soviet Union leader Mikhail Gorbachev, former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, and publisher Steven Forbes of Forbes magazine served keynote speakers for the event.
