Mason's University Career Services staff and industry adviser Philip Wilkerson received awards from the Eastern Association of Colleges and Employers (EACE) at its annual conference, June 22-24, in Atlantic City.

Shá Norman (They/She) joins George Mason University with over ten years of experience in program administration in education non-profits and higher education institutions. 

Mason’s LGBTQ+ Faculty/Staff Alliance provides opportunities for LGBTQIA + faculty and staff to socialize, develop community and discuss ways to further create a more inclusive on-campus environment.

Sumeet Shrivastava, EMBA ’94, has been dedicated to the success of the School of Business and George Mason University ever since he became a Patriot. Shrivastava, also president of the George Mason University Alumni Association, has established the Shrivastava Diversity and Inclusion Scholarship Endowment to recognize student leaders from underrepresented groups who are contributing to diversity and inclusion at Mason.

Mason graduate student Deion Maith joined Mason’s Anti-Racism and Inclusive Excellence (ARIE) Task Force because he thinks it’s important to share lived experiences with other students and faculty/staff.

Recently graduated from George Mason School of Business, Daniel Logrono, BS ISOM ’20, didn’t wait to give back. Still fresh in his mind, Logrono’s memories as a student inspire him to serve as president of the Latino Alumni Chapter, and impact more students and alumni, encouraging them to remain Patriots for life.

Michael Hynes, BS Marketing ’03, is a supervisory special agent in the FBI, overseeing recruiting in Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia. With more than 100 different positions available at the Bureau, they benefit from a diverse and inclusive workforce.

Last month, the School of Business completed the Diversity and Inclusion Workshop Series to coincide with Celebrate Diversity Month. Jointly presented by the Diversity and Inclusion Committee of the School of Business Alumni Chapter and the School of Business Office of Student Success and Academic Services, the series provided a judgment-free zone where participants could share experiences, ask questions, and learn from each other and from the moderators.

With nearly a quarter of its undergrad enrollment identifying as Asian American or Pacific Islander, the School of Business continues to be one of the most diverse schools within the most diverse university in Virginia.

The School of Business Alumni Chapter’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee relentlessly pushes for every Patriot to feel welcomed and included so that the school can continue ascending to new heights.
